Cassie

Okay here is the story.  A good friend of mine had a Pitbull German Shepperd mix dog.  He was going to get rid of him as he wanted to breed pure pitbulls.  My dogs name was Snoop as I took him home.  He was a great dog and was with me a lot of years.  He got cancer or had a stroke or something like that and eventually (I could not even do it) he had to go to dog heaven.  Well along comes Cassie to replace him.  She is a purebred Yellow Lab and an awesome dog but she is scared of everything.  I was going to post some photos of her but she was not feeling well for the camera seems like the story of my life sometimes...  Photos to come later I hope!

Sunsets

While chatting with a friend this morning it reminded me of some sunset shots I have taken.  You know to me sunset is an awesome time.  It is the transition from all that is bright to night and has a calming soothing effect on the soul.  Here are some of my favorites.

<>
This is from the top of Buffalo Point on Antelope Island.  Amazing how the sun was golden and reflected off the water.

Same day as before but I am watching as the sun goes down.  I also tried a different crop.

This should actually look familiar as it is under my name on the blog.  The story goes like this...  I was cruising to my photography class in Logan one day when I came to the small town of Mantua.  We were going about 65 miles an hour (speed trap there) and I looked back over my shoulder and saw this.  Slammed on the brakes and shot for about 25 minutes before it was down all the way.

From my work facing the western mountain range.

These last 2 are my favorites.  I actually have this one on my phone as the screen saver.  Ah the memories...

The wreck I almost had was well worth these shots.  It was amazing.
Photography has afforded me many opportunities and I enjoy every one of them.  These are some of them.  Have you taken the time to notice what God has provided as our "art" it is humbling knowing I am trying to capture that in the camera, but at the same time I get to enjoy the view as well.  Hope yall can feel the peace and gratitude I felt as I was able to capture these shots.

Mountains

Okay I grew up where there are no mountains.  So yes after living here for a long time I am still amazed by them.  You see our mountains back home are canyons so you look down into them.  These shots are of a storm rolling in I was trying to capture the difference on camera hope you like them.

Cache Valley Rendezvous

Well yeeee hawwww is all you can say.  What a fun time we had over this weekend.  Ahh the music and poems were amazing.  This was the first year they had it over in Hyrum Utah and we all hope it will become an annual event.  If you missed it get ready for next year.  These are my favorites taken of musicians, poets, and people in general.

Mary Kay has got a voice that is not only incredible but also matches her angelic looks.

Andy Nelson poet extraordinaire.  He had you laughing and in stitches, but this was a serious moment in a serious poem

Eli Barsi hailing from Canada delighted all with her singing and yodeling man she was good.

Ah good old Ernie Sites need you say more.  I mean come on rapping...  I guess it is true cowboys can do anything!

Even the kids had their fun.  Sure wish I could do this would help come branding time
